


Whether you simply just want to give canoeing a go or you have previous experience and you want to develop your skills, our experienced and enthusiastic canoe instructors will provide a tailor-made course. Our canoe courses are an ideal opportunity to learn new skills on the exciting wild waters of Wales.
For those who want to give it a try, there’s a chance to take your BCU canoe “Star Awards” – your first steps toward becoming an instructor!
We can provide canoeing to those aged from 8 to 80. The adventure activity will be delivered at an age-appropriate level that will also take into account your level of fitness. You will need to be reasonably fit for this adventure activity.
Canoeing is weather dependent. In the case of adverse weather conditions, an alternative will be offered. Where appropriate, an alternative date maybe offered.
Full or half day sessions are available. Sessions run 9:00am – 1:00pm and 2:00pm – 5:00pm. Other timings are available on request.
There is no minimum number required for canoeing.
There is a maximum of 8 participants per canoe instructor. However, we are able to run groups of up to 40.
Spectators can be accommodated in some locations; please call to discuss details.
All specialist canoe equipment is provided. You will need to bring a full set of old clothes, waterproofs, and old trainers.

Available across Wales but our main sites are near Llangollen, Welshpool, Betws y Coed and Brecon.
