Our introduction to rock climbing and abseiling course is an ideal way of getting into climbing. The aim is to give you the knowledge to keep yourself safe on the rock and the skills needed to take yourself – ideal for people who are looking to get into rock climbing and for people who want to move on from the indoor climbing wall to the outside.

We will tailor the course to suit your experience and needs. All aspects of rock climbing will be covered at the single pitch level: route selection, rope work, belays and belaying, and crag awareness. Alternatively, if you just want a fun day out, we can take you to the appropriate location.

  • PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES

We can provide climbing to those aged from 8 to 80. The activity will be delivered at an age-appropriate level that will also take into account your level of fitness. You will need to be reasonably fit for this adventure activity.

  • WEATHER

Climbing is weather dependent. In the case of adverse weather conditions, an alternative will be offered. Where appropriate, an alternative date may be offered.

  • DURATION

Full or half day sessions are available. Sessions run 9:00am – 1:00pm and 2:00pm – 5:00pm. Other timings are available on request.

  • NUMBERS ON THE DAY

There is no minimum number required to run this session.

There is a maximum of 8 participants per instructor. However, we are able to run groups of up to 40.

  • SPECTATORS

Spectators are able to join us for this adventure activity but must wear safety helmets.

  • DRESS CODE

All specialist climbing equipment is provided. You will need to bring old trainers and robust outdoor clothing. Also, in adverse weather conditions, bring waterproofs and a warm hat and gloves.
