Whether you simply just want to give it a go or you have previous experience and you want to develop your skills, our experienced and enthusiastic instructors will provide a tailor-made course. All our instructors are highly skilled and hold at least 3 years post qualifying experience.

Our kayaking courses are an ideal opportunity to learn new skills on the exciting wild waters of Wales. For those who want to give it a try, there’s a chance to take your BCU canoe “Star Awards” – your first steps toward becoming an instructor!

  • PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES

We can provide this activity to those aged from 8 to 80. The activity will be delivered at an age-appropriate level that will also take into account your level of fitness. You will need to be reasonably fit for this acitivity.

  • WEATHER

This activity is weather dependent. In the case of adverse weather conditions, an alternative will be offered. Where appropriate, an alternative date may be offered.

  • DURATION

Full or half day sessions are available. Sessions run 9:00am – 1:00pm and 2:00pm – 5:00pm. Other timings are available on request.

  • NUMBERS ON THE DAY

There is no minimum number required to run this session.

There is a maximum of 8 participants per instructor. However, we are able to run groups of up to 40.

  • SPECTATORS

Spectators can be accommodated in some locations; please call to discuss details.

  • DRESS CODE

All specialist equipment is provided. You will need to bring old trainers, a towel and swimming gear. In colder weather, also bring a long sleeve sweat shirt.

  • AVAILABILITY

Available all year round.

Available across Wales but our main sites are near Llangollen, Welshpool, Betws y Coed and Brecon.
