Outdoor Education Centres in Wales

We offer a selection of residential outdoor education centres in Wales. We work closely with the YHA and Independent Hostels to offer a broad choice of activity destinations in Wales and Gloucestershire. Residential outdoor education visits can be from just 2 days to as long as you like. We design the outdoor activity programme with yourself to ensure it meets the needs of your pupils for your school trip to Wales.

Outdoor Education Centres Wales: Conwy

Hostels in the Snowdonia National Park, and the Brecon Beacons, tend to specialise in mountain outdoor activities, while Conwy on the North Wales coast offers a wider range of coastal activities while not being too far removed from the mountain activities of the Snowdonia National Park. At Manorbier and St David’s in Pembrokeshire we tend to specialise in coastal activities and water sports such as the ever popular coasteering and body boarding. In the Forest Of Dean at St Briavels and all the fun of the forest are at your disposal with historic forest treks, bush

craft and kayaking are top of the list. Also available are day long river trips on the river Wye, caving and climbing activities.

Pro-Active Adventure also operates from a beautiful reservoir surrounded by amazing woodland just north of

Swansea in South Wales. Here we offer a range of on site activities such as: SUP, Sit On Kayak, Raft Building, Climbing Tower, Archery, Bush Craft, Stream Scramble and orienteering. Generally South Wales schools just visit us for the day there, however, there is excellent accommodation and catering offered locally if you wished to make it a full residential school trip. There are many other off site activities to make a full three day activity programme.
